Attorney Lawlor Awarded Bronze Star

We are proud to announce that Partner Andrew Lawlor received a Bronze Star Medal for his service in Afghanistan. The medal was awarded to Attorney Lawlor at a ceremony in Camp Phoenix, in Kabul, Afghanistan on January 6, 2012.

Andy holds the rank of Colonel and has served as the command judge advocate for Task Force Yankee, 26th Yankee Brigade, Massachusetts Army National Guard since August of 2011.

Andy has served in the National Guard for 26 years, has been serving as the principal legal advisor to the commanding general, subordinate commanders and staff of the 26th Yankee Brigade and as the senior supervisory attorney for the military lawyers and paralegals of the Office of the Command Judge Advocate for U.S. Forces in Kabul.

During his years of service Andy has received specialized training as a senior officer and has attended Senior Service College, Command & General Staff Officer College, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Mountain Warfare School, Officer Advanced Course, Officer Basic Course and Officer Candidate School. He has also attended the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, as a National Security Fellow.

Andy is scheduled to return home sometime in February and after some well deserved time off with his family, is expected to return to the firm in March.
